Tests to see if an email address really is valid. Checks both syntax and connects to the destination mail server to confirm.

You only need to specify the mail server if you wish to force a test against a specific server, so normally this should be left blank.
Please allow a while for the actual SMTP transaction to complete. Some mail servers can be quite slow.
